Higher Level Assistant Technical Officer - Pharmacy Production
To assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to customers and patients of East Cheshire NHS Trust through the provision of a safe, efficient and effective production service.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this varied job are:
* Picking and processing customer orders and assembling for courier delivery.
* Managing stocks of finished products and ensuring appropriate storage.
* Receiving pharmaceutical deliveries and entering onto quality control record sheet.
* Setting up batches, including label production and patient information leaflets.
* Packing and labelling batches of pharmaceutical products.
* Always ensuring compliance with MHRA good manufacturing practice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent qualification) including maths and English at level 4/5 (C) or above.
Knowledge and Skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Self-motivated and uses own initiative.
* Understanding of hospital pharmacy practice and role of a licensed manufacturing unit within the hospital environment
Experience
* Experience working in an environment where attention to detail and accurate completion of documentation are required.
* Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy and /or manufacturing/distribution facility.
* Experience of working in an MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) regulated environment.
