Job Overview
The Community Children’s Nursing Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to contribute to the established Children’s Hospital at Home service at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. This dynamic team, created in 2021, operates various clinical pathways to support children and young people in the community.
Clinical pathways:
* Bronchiolitis
* Viral induced wheeze
* Jaundice
* IVAB
* Gastroenteritis
* Non pathway referrals
Responsibilities
* Deliver acute nursing interventions to children and young people on the Hospital at Home caseload.
* Undertake planned clinical assessments following set care pathways and escalating appropriately.
* Support incident reporting, service development, quality improvement and research opportunities.
* Contribute to the end-of-life on-call rota when activated and support overall service delivery.
* Work with acute paediatricians, the Lead Nurse for Hospital at Home and the Community Children’s Nursing Service.
* Participate in the rolling education programme and CPD development opportunities.
