TRISS Operative (Trunk Road Incident Support Service)

Contract: Fulltime / 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, day shift.

Our Northwest Trunk Road Unit spans over 1,422km of roadways, stretching from the rugged beauty of Thurso and Wick in the far north, down to the coastal charm of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute. It connects communities from Uig on the Isle of Skye to the historic cities of Perth and Stirling, offering a unique opportunity to work across a landscape that’s as diverse as it is inspiring.
We have an exciting opportunity for a TRISS Operative to join our existing team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities and Activities:
1. Carry out patrols and inspections on predefined routes
2. Assist Police and members of the public
3. Minor repairs
4. Traffic monitoring
5. Respond to incidents as required
6. Offer assistance/ report break-downs
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
7. Ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Confident and considerate attitude.
10. Full UK driving licence
11. Experience & qualifications in road maintenance, traffic management and Health & safety.
