Smart Solutions are working with an award winning manufacturer who are recruiting a Quality Engineer to join the team in Swansea. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Production, Engineering and Warehouse teams to maintain and improve our quality system for production, packaging, assembly and warehouse activitiesHours: 6am to 2pm Mon-Fri, week 1 and 2pm to 11pm Mon-Thurs, 2pm to 6pm Fri, week 2.Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer :Leading QC improvement activity working with all dept headsSupervision of the QC team to ensure optimal performance attainedEffective closure of both internal and external (CAPA) production quality issuesDeveloping and maintaining appropriate quality instructions, specifications and standardsLeading supplier quality improvementsSupporting quality training of production staffActing as a quality mentor to the QC and Production teamsPerforming audits of the production quality systemEffective control of non-conforming productImprovement of First Off Inspection process KPIImprovement of Shipping Release process KPIRisk reduction of the assembly, test, packing & shipping processesMaintaining all required records and performance indicatorsRequirements of the Quality Engineer :Experience in a related manufacturing environment in a quality functionExcellent problem-solving skills, e.g. DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, etcGood understanding of GMPHNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic and/or Mechanical EngineeringWhat you will get:Attractive starting salary between £38,000 - £45,000 DOEPermanent Contract with career progressionExcellent company package including workplace pension, life assurance, product discounts and healthcare plan.If this sounds of interest to you and you would like to find out more then why not click apply today and one of our team will come back to you.
