HPC Lead Supervisor - Somerset Passenger Solutions Ltd.
Overview
Lead Supervisor role at Hinkley Point C. This is a key on-site position within Somerset Passenger Solutions, contributing to one of the UK\'s largest infrastructure projects.
What Youll Do
* Be the link between frontline teams and management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Support and motivate staff to maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
* Distribute and rotate workloads within the team to maintain balance and efficiency.
* Provide necessary support and assistance to drivers and supervisors to sustain exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage on-site operations across SPS and HPC locations.
* Champion health & safety and security guidelines; ensure drivers comply with standards and lead by example.
* Report all safety accidents/incidents using the company reporting procedure.
* Ensure compliance with driving hours and rest periods for PCV/PSV drivers (Domestic and EC Rules) and the Working Time Directive.
* Complete checks to verify all drivers hold valid CPC cards and licences.
* Resolve passenger queries and service issues.
* Coordinate shift handovers and staff coverage.
* Act as Duty Manager in their absence.
* Supervise and support drivers and supervisors.
* Monitor vehicle allocation and update systems (U-Track).
Qualifications / Knowledge
* Essential skills: Health and safety knowledge.
* Banksman trained (training can be provided).
Desirable Skills
* PCV licence holder.
* Driving licence.
* First aid trained.
* CSCS (training can be provided).
Skills And Experience
* Essential skills: Experience in delivering a high level of customer service and dealing with customer complaints; good understanding of IT; supervisory experience.
