About the Role
As Head of MFL, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and driving the success of the Modern Foreign Languages department. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the MFL department.
* Overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of a stimulating and rigorous MFL curriculum across all key stages (KS3, KS4, and KS5).
* Inspiring, motivating, and leading a team of talented MFL teachers, fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.
* Championing the importance of MFL education within the school community and advocating for its integration into the broader curriculum.
* Managing departmental resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of funds and equipment.
* Monitoring and evaluating student progress, implementing strategies to raise attainment and achievement.
* Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress in MFL.
About You
* You possess a relevant degree in a Modern Foreign Language and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* You boast extensive experience teaching MFL across different key stages, with a proven track record of success in raising student achievement.
* You are a passionate and inspiring leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* You demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development and possess the ability to motivate and lead a team of teachers.
