The Governors of Common Road Infant School wish to make a permanent appointment of an enthusiastic, conscientious, and self-motivated individual who will maintain our school site to a high standard, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the entire school community. Common Road Infant and Nursery School had a very successful Ofsted in November, which the school is extremely proud of!
Situated a short distance from Pontefract, Doncaster and Barnsley, South Kirkby is a small and easily accessible town in the district of Wakefield. Common Road Infant School is a two-form entry infant school with a growing EYFS department which now offers 78 nursery places, including our 30-hour pupils. We have a great staff team which includes our talented and driven teachers, and amazing children who are a joy to work with. They always try hard, behave well and use good manners.
Duties include:
1. Be a key holder for the school
2. Operate and respond to alarm systems
3. Unlock and lock the school
4. Carry out security and safeguarding checks
5. Carry out and record basic checks and help maintain Health and Safety records
6. General maintenance of the property and grounds, carry out repairs, and some decorating
7. Liaise with Robertson's personnel and other contractors
8. Monitor and manoeuvre site stock and order supplies
9. Willing to attend training courses, including Health and Safety, as required
Previous experience would be beneficial, but training can be provided.
