What you will do
* As a Senior Engineer, you will: Lead the development and delivery of projects across: Traffic Engineering, Public Realm, Casualty Reduction, Active Travel, Traffic Signals
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including: Members of the public, Local groups, Elected members, Contractors and partners
* Provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders
* Support Local Highway Footway Improvement Groups
* Mentor apprentices, helping to develop future talent
What we are looking for

Skills and abilities
* Strong communication skills - you can work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
* Project leadership ability - you can manage schemes from start to finish
* Problem-solving mindset - you deliver practical, effective solutions
* Ability to mentor and support others
Experience
* Proven experience in Highway and Traffic Engineering
* Experience delivering Traffic Engineering or Integrated Transport schemes
* Knowledge of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs)
* Experience working with consultants and contractors
Technical expertise
* Design software experience, such as:AutoCAD, KeyLines, KeySign
* Understanding of NEC contracts and contract management (desirable)
Additional information
* You may be required to attend meetings or site visits across Wiltshire.
* Occasional out-of-hours working may be required depending on project needs
