Job Opportunity: Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager
Join our main dealer motor garage located in the Basingstoke area of Hampshire as an Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager.
Salary: circa £36,000 OTE
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm with 1-hour lunch; Saturday mornings as needed, 8am to 1pm in the absence of Service Advisors)
Responsibilities:
* Lead by example daily, demonstrating enthusiasm and passion to motivate your team.
* Resolve staff and customer concerns promptly and effectively.
* Oversee all aspects of the Service Department operations in the absence of the Service Manager.
* Challenge and drive the performance of front-of-house staff.
* Manage, coach, and motivate employees to maintain high standards.
* Monitor performance against targets.
* Ensure proper completion of Vehicle Health Checks, upsell conversions, and follow-up on unsold or deferred work.
About You:
* Preferably 3+ years of experience in a similar role such as Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, Service Reception Manager, or Assistant Service Manager.
* Proven leadership skills and ability to represent the brand positively.
* Demonstrated stable career progression.
* Capable of balancing hands-on team support with departmental management in the Service Manager's absence.
