We are a busy, well-established independent garage in Horley looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. This is a hands-on role overseeing service reception, workshop operations, customer experience, and service profitability.
Ideal for candidates currently working as a Service Manager, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, or Aftersales Manager within the motor trade.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily service department operations and service reception
* Be the senior point of contact for customers, delivering outstanding customer service
* Control workshop loading, MOT bookings, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
* Communicate clearly with customers on costs, authorisations, and vehicle progress
* Increase service department performance through effective upselling and labour control
* Produce and authorise job cards, estimates, invoices, and warranty paperwork
* Monitor and improve KPIs including labour sales, recovery rate, and workshop utilisation
* Ensure accurate customer and vehicle records are maintained
* Lead, support, and motivate service advisors and technicians
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Service Manager, Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, or Aftersales Manager
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Excellent customer-facing communication skills
* Commercial awareness and experience improving workshop profitability
* Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office and garage management systems)
* A proactive, hands-on approach
