Position Overview: - We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Nurse to take a senior leadership role within our clinical services. This position is ideal for a highly skilled nurse ready to combine advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership and operational management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
· Managing the day-to-day operations of the ward or department, ensuring safe staffing and high-quality patient care.
· Leading on service development, quality improvement initiatives, and audit programmes.
· Acting as a role model and mentor, supporting the professional growth of junior staff.
· Maintaining clinical competence and delivering direct patient care as required.
· Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, and national care standards.
What We’re Looking For:
· Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
· Significant post-registration experience in oncology, haematology, or a related cancer specialty.
· Evidence of advanced clinical skills and autonomous practice.
· Excellent communication and counselling skills, with the ability to support patients and families at difficult times.
· Strong organisational abilities and experience coordinating care pathways.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
