Job Title: TIG & MIG Welder
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 basic
Location: Northamptonshire
Hours of Work: Dayshift OR Late shift available. 40 hours per week
Shift Allowance: 15% for the Late shift.
Shifts:
Dayshift: 07:00 - 16:15, Monday - Thursday with ½ hour unpaid lunch break and 2x 10- minute paid breaks. 07:00 - 12:00 hours, Friday with 1x 10-minute paid break.
Late shift: 15:30 - 00:00, Monday - Thursday with ½ hour unpaid lunch break with 2x 10-minute paid breaks 11:30 - 20:00 hours, Friday with 1x 10-minute paidBenefits:

The Role:
An Established Manufacturer based in Northamptonshire are looking for TIG & MIG Welders to join their welding service within the production line team. Working within a highly skilled and qualified welding team, you will use a variety of jigs, fixtures, welding plant and manipulators to assemble and weld a wide range of instrumentation to exacting standards.
Main Responsibilities:
To carry out all required welding work to the highest standard.
To carry out basic assembly related work such as expanding, pressure testing, helium leakage testing as required.
To assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department.
To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation.
To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE.
Support customer inspection activity.
To maintain all welding equipment / hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards.
To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products.
Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested.
To support continuous improvement activity and take an active role in the implementation of improvements
Support all ERPLN requirements
Liaise with production office & product management regards SENQ instruments
Skills and Competencies
Experience
Good PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
Minimum 5 years of TIG welding experience within high technology production / manufacturing company.
Experience of welder coding to EN287-1 / ASME IX and / or PED.
Experience in welding stainless steel to a very high standard.
Production experience in a small batch capital investment goods environment.
