You will be working in a busy but supportive environment alongside an experienced but friendly team, whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This role is perfect for a pharmacist who is looking to expand their clinical knowledge and use it each day in an outpatient setting that has a focus on patient safety and patient experience. No on‑call hours.

This role is suitable for an experienced hospital Pharmacists. Full training and support will be provided to ensure you can confidently lead the Outpatient Pharmacy team and safeguard our diverse patient cohort (Oncology, Thalassaemia, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, TB, General outpatient clinics and A&E).

As a Pharmacy manager, you will be responsible for the provision of exceptional professional pharmacy services. The focus of your role will be to act as a role model and the Responsible Pharmacist and provide support to the Superintendent Pharmacist and help with the day to day running of the Pharmacy and line management duties. You will be working alongside 3 other Pharmacists as well as the rest of the pharmacy team. A comprehensive induction and onsite training will be provided with ongoing training opportunities and exposure to clinical settings. You will help in providing a consistent high quality, accurate, safe and timely patient experience.


Summary of duties and Pharmacy services:

* Clinically screening of prescriptions
* Final accuracy checking of prescriptions
* Counselling patients for their medication
* KPI and workflow management
* Line managements
* Service rota management
* Procurement oversight and management
* Provision of Pharmacy services (TBC)

* Comply with required professional boundaries and codes of conduct.

Pre‑Employment Checks

As part of pre‑employment checks your identity and right to work documentation will be verified remotely (in most circumstances), using a certified identity verification service provider TrustID. You will be asked to capture an image of the relevant documents as well as a "selfie" using your smartphone/tablet (if available) for facial matching. TrustID will also perform a digital address check using Trunarrative and Equifax, which is a soft check and does not leave a footprint on your credit rating.

Please note that during the recruitment process your Identity Documentation (i.e. passport, driving licence, visa, etc.) will be scanned using a device which recognises UV, Infrared and Machine Readable Zone security features of the documents provided.

The Trust uses electronic new starter forms on Trac to collect personal details. Information collected is securely stored and used to set up the employee record on the ESR HR system.
