The School of Science and the Environment at the University of Worcester is seeking to appoint enthusiastic Associate Lecturers to support teaching and learning in the Department of Biological Sciences, and course development with an emphasis on the Biochemistry/Biomedical courses. The successful candidates will be appointed and offered work when required to cover absences or specialist topic that cannot be covered by the present staff.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to and deliver an outstanding learning experience for the School’s undergraduate taught programmes. We are particularly interested in Biomedical, medical, biochemistry, statistics and chemistry related sciences. The successful candidate is likely to hold a master or PhD and will have experience within a Forensic science field. They are also likely to have some teaching or training experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions in the relevant biology areas.
2. Assist in developing new undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
3. Develop and update course materials, ensuring they are current and relevant.
4. Supervise and mentor undergraduate students.
5. Participate in departmental administration and curriculum development.
6. Contribute to the enhancement of the student experience through innovative teaching practices.
