Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:
* Leading and delivering a wide range of professional and project-based building surveying commissions.
* Managing contract administration, specifications, and tender documentation from start to finish.
* Undertaking condition, measured, and defect surveys with autonomy and precision.
* Providing expert technical advice across design, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair projects.
* Preparing and presenting clear, insightful reports and professional recommendations to clients.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, representing the consultancy with confidence and professionalism.
* Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors, helping them achieve APC success.
Requirements:
* A degree in Building Surveying (or related field).
* Ideally MRICS qualified (or close to chartership).
* 3-5 years' consultancy experience with solid technical knowledge.
* Proven experience across multiple sectors and project types.
* Strong communication, reporting, and client-facing skills.
* A self-starter with excellent project management and team collaboration abilities.
* Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
