Job Description
To support the Strategic Director and People Directorate with:
1. Systems administrator for schools management information system (currently SEEMIS)
2. Liaising with school staff to ensure they provide accurate and timely data for the management information system
3. Providing reports from SEEMIS system to stakeholders including headteachers, senior managers, and Scottish Government
4. Providing advice, guidance, and training to users of SEEMIS system
5. Developing a culture and standard of high performance
6. Leading designated initiatives and thematic projects
7. Managing school admissions, including decisions on placing requests that meet the needs of schools and comply with relevant legislation and guidance
8. Providing the Chief Education Officer with forward planning data on projected school rolls
9. Advising the Chief Planning Officer and elected members on the implications for schools of new planning applications
