About the role This is an educational specialist role, contributing to our world class education provision. We offer undergraduate degrees in Economics, Economics and Politics, and Economics and Mathematics, as well as postgraduate degrees in Economics, Economics & Finance, and Applied Economics. We also offer an Online MSc Programme in Applied Economics (Banking and Financial Markets). You will take a leading role in the planning and delivery of the Department's teaching programmes, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to being research-led and incorporating latest developments in the discipline; our programmes put great emphasis on the employability of our students, as exemplified by our successful placement schemes at the UG level and consultancy projects at the PGT stage. You will play a key role in guiding these processes and bringing in new initiatives. Our ideal candidate You will be expected to have: A track record of management and leadership skills at comparable higher education institutions, A track record of excellent teaching in any of the core areas of economics and finance, Evidence of innovative teaching, supervision and assessment practices, Experience of working with department/faculty/school/university leadership teams on education related issues.
