Overview
Join to apply for the Team Leader role at Aircraft Maintenance Systems. This is a full-time position within the manufacturing team in Huntingdon, focusing on leading day-to-day production and ensuring performance to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provide line management to the team, coordinating workloads and supporting the team to deliver production targets and quality standards.
* Monitor issues to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
* Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards and foster a positive team culture.
* Improve production efficiency by implementing lean manufacturing techniques within the production area.
* Coordinate and allocate work to enable colleagues to work productively.
* Ensure production lines are tidy, organized and compliant with health and safety standards.
* Complete production and colleague records appropriately and ensure adherence to SOPs and Quality System requirements (SOPRAs).
* Contribute to SQDCP projects (team-level quality, safety, delivery, cost, and people).
* Provide feedback to the Senior Team Leader on target vs actual production numbers.
* Chase missing components to prevent production delays and ensure colleagues wear the correct PPE.
* Induct and onboard new starters as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience managing a team.
* Previous manufacturing experience.
* Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Computer literate.
* Understanding of production costs including waste, downtime, and scrap.
* A clear communicator with good people skills.
* Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
