This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time position within the Looked after Children's Nursing Team, primarily based in Southwark with responsibilities covering Lambeth.
The team promotes and monitors the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 0-18 in care, placed by Children's Social Care services in Southwark and Lambeth.
The role involves providing nursing services to support the Trust's responsibilities towards looked-after children, working across health, social care, education, and voluntary sectors to improve health outcomes.
The service is led by the Named Doctor and Nurse for Looked after Children. The team coordinates statutory health assessments to ensure the best outcomes, collaborating with other agencies to address health needs of vulnerable children.
Part of Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust, Evelina London offers specialist care for children and families from London to South East England, and beyond.

Main duties of the job
We seek a dynamic and innovative nurse to join our Clinical Nurse Specialist team for Looked after Children.
You will provide nursing services to help the Trust meet its responsibilities for looked-after children, working effectively across sectors to achieve optimal health outcomes.
The priority is to work with children and young people (0-18 years), conducting statutory health assessments and providing advice and support as per the Department of Health guidance 'Promoting the Health of Looked After Children' (DH 2015).
