At Colchester Institute, we’re looking for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Trainer/Assessor to support our Health & Social Care Apprenticeship programmes on an hourly-paid basis. Job Title: Hourly Paid Level 3 Adult Care Assessor/Trainer About the Role: Conducting workplace assessments in line with City & Guilds awarding body standards Delivering engaging one-to-one and group training sessions Providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help learners succeed Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of learner progress Building strong relationships with employers to support apprentice success Essential Qualifications: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent. Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent Level 3 Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one within 2 years in post Essential Experience: Proven experience of assessing learners in a health and social care setting. Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks within adult care.
