Overview
We are looking for a Procurement Operations Specialist to join the Group Procurement Team for a 9 month FTC. Reporting to the Procurement Operations Manager, this role will be key in ensuring operational procurement runs efficiently and sites can operate with agility.
Location can be flexible with travel to site locations and Chippenham approximately, once a month.
How will you contribute?
1. Be a procurement SME (subject matter expert) on Oracle Cloud, providing systems and administrative support to Wincanton colleagues and suppliers
2. Maintain procurement master data within key systems, including Oracle supplier master, compliance tools and the contract database
3. Maintain procurement process documentation, ensuring it is kept up to date, reviewed in line with the requirements and processes are continually improved
4. Manage new supplier onboarding, monitor compliance and develop clear supplier guidance
5. Support Wincanton colleagues with requisition/PO queries, amendments, reassignments and assist with development of self-help tools and guidance for requesters/buyers and suppliers
6. Assist with all policy documentation, including the Procurement Policy, Supplier Management Framework and Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring it is fit for purpose and is updated on an annual basis
7. Assist with regular reporting requirements
8. Monitor and action exception requisitions/PO’s with status pending
9. Build relationships with internal control functions including Internal Audit, Risk, Data Protection, IT Security, Health & Safety, AP and Finance Systems
10. Assist with development and maintenance of a Supplier Assurance Framework to ensure controls (including supplier insurances, adherence to modern slavery, right to work, bribery & corruption are regularly tested/reviewed and suppliers are adhering to Wincanton minimum standards
11. Review and update the Procurement intranet page and Oracle, assist with development of wider communication strategy
12. Ensure supplier master data is regularly reviewed, cleansed and consolidated in liaison with Wincanton colleagues
What will you bring?
13. Previous experience with ERP systems and P2P processes desirable, with a focus on Procurement functions
14. Proven track record in delivering continuous improvement
15. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
16. A self-starter with ability to gain knowledge quickly
17. High level of attention to detail and competent in data analysis
18. Excellent organisations skills with an ability to manage changing priorities aligned to business requirements
