Job summary

Are you a specialty doctor seeking a new opportunity within the Adult Community Mental Health Team based in Witney Oxfordshire?

As a Specialty Doctor you will join a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality mental health care to adults in the community.

You will be based within the Witney mental health team, undertaking assessments and providing treatment to adults of working age and their families. You will work closely with other members of the team.


Main duties of the job

Please refer to the Job description and person specification for further details.

Key components of the role include:

Providing Psychiatric expertise to the MDT

Contributing to assessments, treatment planning and reviews

Liaising with other services e.g. Primary care where appropriate.

Supporting quality improvement and service developments

* Shall have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.


Desirable

* Attendance at MRCPsych course or equivalent Section approval: Mental Health Act, 1983


Clinical Experience


Essential

* Held appointments in psychiatry at SHO/CT or equivalent.Held appointments in psychiatry at SHO/CT or equivalent.

* To exercise an intermediate level of clinical responsibility as delegated by the consultant in charge.
