Experienced Social Workers – Families First Children’s Services
Salary: Band 8 (Level 3), £40,777 - £42,839 per annum. We provide a £2,400 monthly market factor supplement (pro‑rated to hours worked) that is reviewed annually.

Location: Borough‑wide – main offices at Trafford Town Hall or Sale Waterside

Families First (Child in Need Service)
You will work on a locality basis with children and families that require a social work assessment. Teams complete duty on a rota basis and work a varied workload, including:
* Section 47 enquiries
* Child and family assessments
* Managing a case load of children supported through child in need planning
Relational partnerships are essential – enabling the safe step‑down of plans within families’ time‑frames.
Roles are available in the following localities
* Central (Sale)
* South (Altrincham)
* North (Stretford)
* West (Stretford)

We provide a structured induction, manageable workload, monthly formal supervision and peer supervision. You will receive clear guidance, supervision and support from managers and will have opportunities for secondments and pilot work.
