Headingley Hall Care Home, 5 Shire Oak Road
We are looking for dedicated and experienced Senior Support workers who are passionate about providing excellent care to older people in our extra care setting. You will also be an influential individual who can lead a team of support workers to ensure that residents receive the highest standards of care.
Additional Information
Expected to cover shifts for sickness and holidays
Required to work unsocial hours, including nights, weekends and bank holidays as necessary.
Flexibility due to 24/7 service operation

About The Role
To ensure that day to day service delivery is meeting the care and social needs of residents and that the care and social needs they receive is compliant with statutory, legal and regulatory frameworks in addition to delivering the company values.
Leading a team of support workers to ensure that exemplary care is being delivered.
Ensure that all accidents, incidents or safeguardings are documented and reported in line with company policies and procedures.
Administering prescribed medication to residents.
Support independence and dignity in all aspects of care delivery including personal care, dressing and assisting with meals.
Deliver care in accordance with individual care packages
Complete documentation accurately and within agreed timescales
Maintain confidentiality
Attend team and individual meetings as required
Work effectively with team members to deliver customer care
Share Knowledge Skills, And Information To Enhance Customer Experience

Required Criteria
* Experience of working in extra care or domiciliary care
* Has a caring and compassionate nature suitable for working with vulnerable adults
* Able to record residents information and update records in a timely manner
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Has appropriate training/qualifications e.g. Care Certificate and Level 2 qualification in care
* Willing to undertake any training/qualifications required to support the Senior support worker role
* Has knowledge of electronic care planning systems and call systems within the home
* Awareness of Care Standards Regulations and the role of the CQC
* Enhanced DBS disclosure
Desired Criteria
* Understanding of the skills required to lead a team.
* Prepared to work towards a level 3 qualification in care
* Has a working understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLs, Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable adults and Data protection.
