This is a rewarding role which involves working face to face with some of the most in need people in our society: Manchester’s homeless community. Shared houses consist of 12 houses: 6 male houses, 2 women’s houses and 4 young persons and a fully accessible 12 bed mixed project. You will help residents in support sessions with universal credit, bank accounts, drug and alcohol referrals, mental health referral, budgeting, getting formal ID, creating personalised support plans, listening to their concerns and needs, and moving them on to suitable long-term accommodation. The job also includes preparation of rooms ready for re-let, including cleaning, checking health and safety of the building, and reporting repairs. This is an extremely rewarding but challenging role which offers opportunities for knowledge building and training.
About The Candidate
The successful candidate will be empathetic, have strong people skills and be passionate about ending homelessness. You will be a flexible and motivated worker who can deal with rapidly changing situations and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment using a holistic approach. Staff will be lone-working.

What we will need from you if you’re successful
In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement.
