Learning Partner

Be the mentor who makes learning matter. Are you passionate about helping others unlock their full potential? Do you have a knack for coaching, mentoring, and making learning an exciting journey? If you're ready to make a real impact on the career paths of amazing colleagues, this could be the role for you!

What’s the role all about?

As a Learning Partner, you’ll play a key role in guiding our colleagues through their Wilderness Way Career Path Journey. From supporting learners in achieving their Level 3 Diploma to designing personalized learning plans and delivering engaging workshops, you’ll make sure every colleague’s development is nothing short of exceptional.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Foster growth: advocate for continuous improvement and champion a culture of learning and development across all roles.
* Support learning journeys: onboard new colleagues and guide them as they navigate their professional journey with tailored learning plans.
* Assess and develop: mark learner portfolios, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback to help learners stay on track.
* Be the mentor: work directly with learners, offering personalized learning recommendations and coaching them to success.
* Manage your schedule: organize your diary for face‑to‑face visits and remote meetings to keep learners engaged and on the ball.
* Stay compliant: ensure learner files are fully compliant and aligned with our policies and regulatory requirements.
* Lead by example: make sure learning initiatives are aligned with Wilderness Way’s values and business strategies.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience: a similar role or a solid understanding of the Level 3 Children and Young People workforce diploma.
* Qualifications: a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification, an Assessor qualification (TAQA/CAVA), and a passion for learning. Level 5 is desirable.
* Skills: strong organizational skills, a friendly and diplomatic approach, and a keen eye for detail.
* Passion: a commitment to empowering others, a love for helping people grow, and a belief in continuous learning.
* Other requirements: a full driving license (preferably without endorsements) and a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Why Wilderness Way?

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, dynamic environment where colleagues can thrive. At Wilderness Way, you won’t just be helping others learn—you’ll be continuously learning and growing yourself! We’re committed to equality and the safety of children in our care. If you’re ready to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is subject to necessary background checks, including an Enhanced DBS and Access NI or Disclosure Scotland.
