On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Node.JS & Terraform) for a 6-month contract (Inside IR35) based in hybrid locations: Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability, and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. It operates on a scale that is almost unmatched in Europe, and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.
Working with DWP, you will help us to drive our priorities to:
* Help people move into work and support those already in work to progress, aiming to increase overall workforce participation
* Help people plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
* Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us daily, including the most vulnerable in society
* Develop and finalize Node.js applications, ensuring high-performance and scalable back-end solutions
* Support functional testing, identifying and resolving software issues to maintain quality standards
* Enhance front-end integration, implementing Express and Pug for seamless communication and UI/UX improvements
* Automate infrastructure deployment, leveraging Terraform for streamlined operations and scalability
* Mentor and support engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration within agile teams
Technical Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience working in complex systems and environments
