Alternative Provision at Element
Alternative Provision is a short, focused stop on a young person's journey. Some pupils cannot be in mainstream education right now. With us they get specialist support, steady routines and a calm place to learn. Our job is to stabilise, rebuild confidence and skills, and help each pupil move on to the right next step, whether that is a return to mainstream, a specialist setting or a different pathwayp>
About the role
This is a hands on role to start with. Most of your week you will be in the room helping sessions run smoothly, coaching staff and keeping pupils safe and learning. Part of your week you will grow the provision at a steady pace, meet new pupils and families, and shape our in house curriculum so it fits real needs. You turn interest into the right placements, make sure starts are smooth, and keep the day to day organised, from data to follow ups. As the provision grows, your time will tilt toward development and improvement work, with less frontline delivery and more focus on curriculum, quality and partnerships.
Working pattern: 4 days per week with an option for job-share or reduced hours, 5 hours per day, generally 09:30 to 14:30.
Term time only. Optional extra hours on other Element projects during school holidays may be offered by agreement.
Why this role matters
Young people make the biggest gains when the space is calm, expectations are clear and the curriculum feels doable. Your practical leadership keeps that feel every day while also building the next steps that will help more pupils benefit from the offer.
