Relief Support Worker - Redruth, Redruth
Mencap is seeking Relief Support Workers to join our team in Redruth.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support. Activities may include carriage driving, dance classes, volunteering, walks along the beach, café trips, power boating, or swimming. Every day offers new experiences in this active household!
We support 4 people within one household who get along very well, with a range of different needs.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
* Must be a driver
Contract options:
* All our services provide 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
* Shift times include days between 07:30-22:00, with split shifts ending at 15:30/16:00 or starting at 15:30-16:00.
* A non-contractual sleep-in option is available, with an hourly rate of £12.60.
