Senior Finance Manager

The role
This is a senior leadership role within operational finance, with full ownership of management accounting, financial control, and team performance.
It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building strong foundations — leading a team, improving processes, and ensuring finance runs accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
You’ll have real responsibility and visibility, acting as a key link between finance, operations, and senior stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead, develop and support a team of 3+, creating a high-performing and engaged environment
* Own the end-to-end management accounts process, including P&L and balance sheet reviews
* Take responsibility for financial control, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance
* Oversee month-end close and continuously improve timelines and processes
* Partner with senior stakeholders to explain performance and provide clear insight
* Play a key role in audit and statutory reporting processes
* Identify and drive improvements across systems, processes, and controls
What we’re looking for
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong experience in management accounting, financial control, or operational finance
* Experience leading and developing finance teams
* Solid understanding of balance sheets, controls, and reporting processes
* Experience in a stock-based or retail environment
* Confident communicator, able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
