Key responsibilities Lead your sub-category with authority, using your deep market and product knowledge to drive procurement excellence. Own and execute medium-term procurement strategies, ensuring every decision delivers sustainable commercial value. Build, manage, and elevate supplier relationships—setting clear performance targets and driving continuous improvement. Take charge of sub-category pricing, financial performance tracking, and live data management. Negotiate and deliver measurable results, always with an eye on risk mitigation and contractual compliance. Partner with technical teams to seamlessly manage product and supplier changes. Coach and develop your direct reports, championing leadership behaviours and a high-performance culture. Ensure every sourcing decision aligns with our Responsible Sourcing Policy and business objectives. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience in a procurement or buying role—ideally within food manufacturing. Commercial acumen and a knack for negotiation, communication, and influencing. Strong understanding of procurement strategy, contract law, and supplier performance management. CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.
