The Role
Role Overview -
Retail Assistants support the day-to-day operations of a retail store, helping to create a positive shopping experience for customers. This role involves a combination of customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and general store maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist customers; provide product info and resolve issues
* Upsell, promote offers, and meet sales goals
* Process transactions accurately using POS and handle cash/card payments
* Restock, rotate, and audit inventory; maintain tidy, appealing displays
* Follow health, safety, and loss prevention procedures
* Keep store clean and organized; support opening/closing tasks
* Work collaboratively and attend team briefings
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong communication and people skills
* Customer-focused with a warm, professional attitude
* Detail-oriented and accurate with transactions and stock
* Sales-aware with basic upselling knowledge
* Adaptable, quick to learn, and flexible with shifts
* Calm under pressure; confident solving issues
* Tech-savvy and numerate (POS, cash handling)
* Physically able to stand, move, and lift during shifts
* Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
Where is Lapland?
Lapland is based in Whitmoor Forest, in Crown Estate on Swinley Road, Winkfield Row near Ascot SL5 8BD.
Key Dates
* PAID TRAINING: Your training plan will vary depending on your role. Training will take place on select dates between the end of October 2025 and the beginning of November 2025, training is mandatory.
* LIVE EVENT: Thursday 6th- Wednesday 24th December 2025
