About the Role
The Commercial Property Team is seeking a Paralegal to support both Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Finance work. This role will be split approximately 50 / 50 between the two departments, working closely with a consultant and a solicitor who operate across both areas. You will provide paralegal and administrative support on live transactions in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and working to deadlines. Some involvement with residential transactions may also be required.
Responsibilities
* Conduct legal research
* Prepare and submit Land Registry applications (AP1s, CH2, FR1s, UN1–UN4, RX1–RX4, AN1s, and document downloads)
* Manage Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and submissions
* Order property searches and liaise with third parties to obtain documentation
* Perform general administrative duties and access data rooms from other solicitors
* Obtain Land Registry documents including OCEs, OS1s, OS2s, K17s, and historical documents
* Liaise with mortgage companies via calls, emails, and online portals
* Collate documents for Reports on Title
* Assist fee earners with documents to be signed via DocuSign
* Manage post‑completion matters to file closure
* Draft deed schedules and documents from precedent templates
* Assist with financial statements, completion statements, redemptions, further advances, and drafting finance / security documents
* Support both commercial and finance workstreams as required
* Report on progress and tasks to the Paralegal Manager
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar role
* Pre and post completions experience preferred
* Strong academic record (at least a 2:1 degree) and LPC qualified
* Experience with practice management software desirable; Proclaim knowledge is advantageous but not essential
* Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
* Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and administrative skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
