European Marketing Manager – ViiV Healthcare

Job Purpose
The ViiV European Marketing Manager is an exciting, high profile position working within the European Marketing Team to drive growth of the key asset in the ViiV Portfolio. This position sees you working closely with the Global Commercial Strategy and Medical Team and European LOCs, as well as with the wider European Commercial and Medical Teams. You will champion the needs of Europe in the development of global commercial strategy and tactics, and you will partner with European LOCs to assist with adaptation and implementation of the global strategy and tactics. You will work with European LOCs to realise local opportunities to drive product and portfolio growth within their own LOCs as well as sharing and scaling this success across Europe. This position reports to the European Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for helping to drive growth of the priority key ViiV asset, long-active injectable
* Partnering and collaborating with specific LOCs to uncover insights and local opportunities and drive local brand and portfolio growth
* Ensure insights from customers and markets within Europe are well understood and are leveraged through a feedback-loop process with other functions, including the Global Team
* Champion the needs of European LOCs within the cross-functional matrix so that strategy and tactic developments are “fit for Europe”.
* Lead on internal brand communications within Europe, including the high-profile EU Network Calls
* Be a valued contributor to the wider European Team
* Responsible for sharing best practices from other regions and amongst LOCs within Europe
* Represent Europe in global working groups (such as the Real World Evidence Working Group)
* Participation in EU Copy Approval meetings and sign-off of media plan assets
* Work collaboratively with Medical colleagues
* Work in alliance with Janssen cross company alignment committee meetings
Why You?
Basic Qualifications
* Extensive commercial experience in pharmaceutical industry and strong brand management experience
* Strong communication skills in English – written and oral
* Strong track record of commercial leadership at a local level with demonstrated success in leading projects to successful outcomes
* Demonstrated excellence in influencing and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
* Proven track record in stakeholder management and of leading successfully in a matrix environment at all levels of the organization. Master at utilizing organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to facilitate successful project implementation and effective issue resolution
* Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Knowledge of European culture in particular
* Creative approach to problem solving and ability to challenge the status quo
Preferred Qualifications
* Proficiency in a second European Language (French, Spanish, German, Italian, etc)
* Experience in a direct customer facing role (i.e., field sales, account management, regional medical scientist, etc.)
* Experience as ABPI commercial signatory
