What You’ll Be Doing
To lead and coordinate substation inspectors, generator technicians, and contractors in delivering inspections, maintenance, and repairs safely, on time, and within budget, while ensuring compliance with company standards and performance targets.
* Contribute as an effective member of the Transmission Network Operations management team, supporting strategic and operational objectives.
* Continuously review procedures and processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
* Support the delivery of the department’s work programme, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
* Lead and support team performance management, conducting regular reviews and identifying and progressing development opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers within Energy Networks to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
* Always deliver and uphold gold‑standard customer service.
* Analyse and interpret information presented in a variety of formats, demonstrating strong comprehension and adaptability.
* Perform analysis on business performance data to support informed management decision-making.
* Translate analysis outcomes into actionable insights, ensuring appropriate escalation, recommendation, or implementation based on business impact.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation in financial, technical, and business contexts.
* Proven ability to manage programmes of work within budget, while maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and quality.
* Excellent analytical, report writing, and presentation skills.
* Working knowledge of statutory regulations, including the Electricity Supply, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR).
* Good understanding of relevant company policies and governance frameworks.
* Exceptional customer relationship skills, aligned to delivering gold‑standard service.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, while developing, coaching, and mentoring others where required.
Minimum Criteria
* Educated to HNC level (or demonstratable equivalent experience).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant operational or technical environment.
