About the Role
Deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. The school encourages creativity in lesson delivery and supports teachers in fostering a love of literature and language in all learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE level)
* Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons
* Support students in developing strong literacy, analytical, and writing skills
* Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic progress
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
* Experience teaching up to GCSE level
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour skills
* A passion for teaching and student success
