We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with an Process Commissioning Engineer, travelling to sites throughout the Scottish Water Region.
You will be responsible for managing the process start up, optimisation and performance testing of water, sewage or sludge treatment projects. You may be involved in non-electrical wet testing and software testing.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Carry out Process Commissioning in a safe compliant manner.
2. Carry out process start up, optimisation and performance testing, including sampling and analysis where required.
3. Review and monitoring of process related Project risks.
4. Attend commissioning systems inductions and tool box talks.
5. Liaise with Design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at design stage and included in appropriate scope of works.
6. Possible review of design deliverables, including FDS, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy and telemetry requirements
7. Review or production of Commissioning Plans in conjunction with design intent
8. Identify from design documents initial process start up settings
9. Plan for, manage and oversee process client witness tests.
10. Assist in development of initial Commissioning Programme.
11. Attend or run Progress & Commissioning Meetings
12. Compile commissioning documentation and deliverables.
13. Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
14. Liaise with sub-contractors regards commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
15. Assist Training Coordinators in compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
16. Assist O&M Coordinators in compilation and review of O&M Manuals.
17. Create, maintain and distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diary/ Operations Log and any other information from Engineers.
18. Assist in the preparation of take over reports
19. Liaise with whole scheme delivery team, including client, MWH site team and sub-contractors.
Technical Competencies:
20. Relevant degree (chemical engineering, process science or environmental science) OR
21. Extensive experience as plant operator and laboratory technician with training in interpreting design documents.
22. Knowledge of water, wastewater or sludge treatment processes.
23. Understanding or experience of operating an on-site lab and relevant analytical techniques.
