Maintenance Assistant White Hart Hotel We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join the team at the White Hart Hotel. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and colleagues. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. The successful candidate will be well organized, proactive, and able to respond promptly to the operational needs of the business. Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance tasks across the hotel, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. Assist with planned preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard. Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance requests, supporting the hotel management team as required. Maintain all maintenance and service areas in clean, organized, and safe conditions. Ensure the hotel grounds are clean, tidy, and well maintained throughout the year, including waste management and bin disposal. Provide support to other departments when required, such as assisting Housekeeping with laundry duties or room set-up. Skills and Experience Previous experience in a maintenance or trade-related role is desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn and develop new skills within a hospitality setting. A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving. Good communication skills with a friendly and positive attitude. Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as required.
