We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant who believes in delivering exceptional service, has a passion for metrics and figures and is confident in financial reporting and tax compliance in a multi divisional business.
You’ll sit within our Group Finance team, working closely with colleagues across the business to play a key role in in the preparation of statutory accounts and the completion of Group audits. You'll provide robust tax compliance, clear financial insight and dependable support during reporting and audit cycles. This is a hands-on role with real breadth, offering exposure to a dynamic, multi-divisional, international business.

The Role
By joining our team you’ll:
o Prepare the Group's financial statements and assist external auditors with timely and accurate information
o Provide information for corporation tax purposes to external tax advisers and review tax computations
o Assist the Group Financial Controller with the annual audit process
o Own VAT and Corporation Tax compliance across the UK and relevant EU jurisdictions
o Prepare and submit UK and EU VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
o Understand and adhere to tax regulations and legislation, keeping up to date with evolving requirements
o Reconcile tax balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
o Contribute to ad hoc projects as directed by the Group Financial Controller and Group CFO
Requirements
What you can bring to our team:
o Strong experience in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and supporting audit processes, with the ability to work effectively with external auditors and advisers
o A professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) with solid post-qualification practical experience
o Advanced spreadsheet skills, including complex formulas, reconciliations and data analysis, enabling you to work efficiently and accurately
o Clear and confident communication skills, allowing you to explain tax and financial matters to non-finance stakeholders in a straightforward, accessible way
o A collaborative approach in order to build trusted relationships across finance and the wider business
o Strong attention to detail alongside the ability to manage tight, fixed deadlines without losing quality
o A proactive, self-motivated mindset, comfortable taking initiative and contributing to continuous improvement
o The ability to apply tax legislation in a balanced and practical way, balancing compliance with commercial reality in a fast-moving business
o Experience of UK and EU VAT compliance is advantageous, with a clear understanding of how regulations apply in practice
o Knowledge of the Tour Operator Margin Scheme (TOMS) is beneficial but not essential
