Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience working with hand tools and power tools. Responsibilities
* Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and assembly tasks.
* Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
* Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
* Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised for safety and efficiency.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.
* Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and maintenance practices.
* Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently is desirable.
* Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
* Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting as part of the job requirements.
