Test Equipment Obsolescence Manager Location: Bolton, 2 days per week on site, rest remote Rate: Up to £60 ph Umbrella Duration: 6 Months SC Clearance required to start Overview of department: We have a phenomenal opportunity for experienced Engineers to play a leading role in the support of production activities at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Working within Production Design Support (PDS) is a highly rewarding role working close to the manufacturing environment helping to shape the design of the products and test equipment, delivering support to our customers. Responsibilities: Role includes the following responsibilities: • Managing Proactive and Reporting Services • Implementing Strategy for Obsolescence Management • Technical Assessment working with Engineering teams to manage changes • Managing Resources and Work load Planning Key Skillset • Knowledge and experience of managing Obsolescence • Knowledge and experience of Electronic Equipment • You'll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs. • Manage discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions. • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation. • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring and a passion for innovation and collaboration.
