The post holder will assist in the provision of management accounting information which will involve the handling of complex, often confidential data requiring analysis and interpretation. Working alongside a fantastic Team of Management Accountants and Divisional Accountants, we are looking for an individual who can use their initiative, be courageous and proactive, to support the Division and its Budget Holders. Due to the global pandemic there have been many challenges our Finance team have had to face, and we are looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills to join our Finance Family. These skills will be heavily relied on as the team are currently working remotely Full Time, so new staff can expect a warm ‘remote’ welcome but will need to have the ability to build relationships with the team and division whilst working from home. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities These exciting opportunities will allow the successful candidates to work in an engaging and forward-thinking organisation, develop and hone in on your own professional and academic abilities, and be responsible for key objectives such as: Working with the Financial Management Team, to produce comprehensive and timely monthly reporting of the Divisions' financial position. Supporting the budget setting process of the Divisional revenue budgets. Assisting in the training of budget holders and managers in budgetary management and control. Assisting in the training and development of individuals within the Financial Management Team and wider department. Work towards a set development plan to meet the competencies for each stage of the developmental post. Will be proactive in gathering evidence and achieving the set competencies and targets with support from the Senior Divisional Finance Advisors and Deputy Divisional Finance Managers Person specification Attainments Essential Criteria GCSE or Equivalent English and Maths Grade C/4 Experience in using Microsoft Office. This particularly applies to Excel Desirable criteria Actively studying AAT or similar Accounting Qualification Some experience of working within a finance department. Personal Skills Essential criteria Ability to communicate with confidence with people of all different levels and backgrounds Must be able to concentrate for long periods maintaining due care and attention. Ability to organise own workload. Ability to complete numerous routine tasks within tight deadlines. Ability to work either autonomously or as part of a team. Enthusiastic, self motivated.
