Job Description
A prestigious Top 5 accountancy and advisory practice is expanding its Corporate & M&A Tax team and seeking an experienced Manager to lead client engagements and delivery. This role offers significant exposure to complex, transaction-focused tax assignments across high-growth businesses, private equity-backed entities, and FTSE-listed clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, managing the full lifecycle of engagements-from onboarding and compliance to billing, WIP, and cash collection
* Lead on M&A tax support including due diligence (buy- & sell-side), transaction structuring, integration planning, and tax forecasting
* Collaborate with wider tax and transaction service specialists
* Identify and develop new business opportunities both within your portfolio and wider network
* Mentor, coach, and help develop junior team members, championing continuous improvement
* Maintain oversight of quality-control frameworks and risk-management processes
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Qualified ACA and/or CTA with demonstrable post-qualification experience
* Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, group tax accounting, and tax audit
* Proven project leadership skills: managing due diligence assignments, structuring workstreams, and operating across complex transactions
* Commercially savvy with a track record of client relationship development and advisory acumen
* Excellent communicator: confident presenting to senior stakeholders including directors, partners, and private equity clients
* Agile mindset with a drive to spot practice improvements and embrace new tax technology
