You will be a creative FF&E designer with a proven track record. You will have worked from concept to completion in accordance with the client’s brief, and have experience with managing project budgets, timescales, and the FF&E procurement process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Working alongside the design team, we are looking for a strong candidate to assist the project lead and director in developing the FF&E direction for the overall project and managing all elements allocated to them, including the designing and sourcing of FF&E from concept through to finished details.
* Having a good understanding of the clients’ objectives and values
* Designing and sourcing FF&E from concept through to finished details including bespoke furniture and upholstery
* Contributing to the concept development, assisting research and supporting with in-design presentations
* Producing floor/furniture plan layouts and elevations & rendering plans/elevations/visuals
* Creating full schedules for all FF&E items
* liaising with the design and purchasing teams to ensure FF&E is within budget parameters
* Assisting in preparing presentation packages, mood boards and sample boards under senior team instruction
* Attending interior fit outs throughout the UK and assisting with the installation of FF&E alongside contractors and management team
* Participating in the establishment and maintenance of BI FF&E drawing standards
* Understanding of BI suppliers – building relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers
* Project planning, monitoring, reporting and budgeting
FF&E MAIN SKILLS & ABILITIES
* The ability to source loose furniture, lamps, tables & consoles with artwork and accessories specific to projects
* Experience of specifying suitable fabrics, including drapery, upholstery, cushions and trims for residential and commercial use
* Experience working in EstiMac would be an advantage
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop
* Exceptional attention to detail with accuracy in all work produced
* Strong communication, planning and organisational skills including the ability to take minutes and distribute to client teams
* Understanding of budgets, design process and RIBA stages
* Troubleshooting any problems that may arise to ensure swift and positive resolution
