Role Description
The candidate will work in the Radiology Department, with the opportunity to rotate through Plain Film, MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology. This role involves assisting patient preparation for their imaging such as helping them to change and manual handling onto the examination tables. Also the Radiography Department Assistant will chaperone during examinations such as US, cannulate, perform basic aseptic technique and clinical observations, stock ordering and clean the equipment. They will use hospital IT systems to input and record data. This is an important role supporting the Radiology staff to provide a high quality service in a department with a large number of patients seen each day.

Working Hours
Full time – variable shifts.

Who we are
We are a friendly Radiology Department who undertake in excess of 340,000 examinations per year. The main facility is at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and a satellite department at Andover War Memorial Hospital. The largest demand is in CT, MR and US.
