Learning Assistant BS5SEN Provision in a Mainstream School. Full-Time start in September. A Primary School in the BS5 area of Bristol is seeking a Learning Assistant to work within an SEN Provision Classroom. This school is a mainstream primary school with resources to support children with a range of SEN. The school has experienced teachers and staff committed to providing a nurturing environment. They offer an inspiring curriculum to help students think differently, challenge their own learning, and embrace problem solving.
Responsibilities
* There are full-time positions available at this 3 form entry primary school starting from September.
* You will have prior experience working with SEN, with a calm and patient presence, and be able to work collaboratively with other staff to support a range of needs such as Autism, Speech and Language, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and more.
* Maintain high expectations for the individual to succeed.
* Have experience working with SEND children.
* Work closely with the SENDCo to understand the children’s needs.
* Create a stimulating and purposeful environment.
* Manage and support the children’s needs.
* Assess and communicate the individuals’ progress and developments.
