Residential Support Worker - Permanent 37hr and 18.5hr vacancies
Salary: £26,403 - £28,403 (full time equivalent). Band 4 plus an enhancement paid between 8pm and 6am and weekends, starting at £2,709 - £2,914 per year depending on spinal point.

The role
At Pegsworth House we will have up to four young people (aged between 6 and 15 on admission). These young people are here through no fault of their own and often have had traumatic starts. Through positive and constructive interventions by a skilled and committed staff team, they are supported to address emotional, social and educational needs to enhance life chances.
Your personal qualities and life experience will help create an environment of reflection, challenge, personal attention and specialist help. Your talents will help young people develop values, skills, knowledge, self-control and direction to fulfill their potential.
This role requires working to a shift pattern that includes early and late shifts and will predominantly involve weekend work. An enhancement is paid between 8pm and 6am and at weekends, starting at £2,709 - £2,914 per year depending on spinal point.
You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training. You will be supported to complete the Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare, which is a requirement of the job.
You will work under the direction of the managers to ensure quality, safe and effective care of each young person.
Requirements & expectations
You will work an average of 37 hours per week, following a designated shift pattern, predominantly at weekends and some bank holidays. You must be able to work as part of a team and on your own. A Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure is required for the successful applicant. Sponsorship for UK visas is not available for this role.
