Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Support Worker located in Swansea. The Support Worker will be responsible for providing everyday support to young residents, helping them develop essential life skills and access education and employment opportunities. Daily tasks include monitoring resident well-being, ensuring safety and safeguarding procedures are followed, offering emotional support, and liaising with local authorities and other agencies. The Support Worker will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages residents to develop confidence and self-sufficiency.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of safeguarding practices
* Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills
* Proficiency in providing Technical Support related to housing and life skills
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
* Certification in Social Work or related field is a plus
* Knowledge of the needs and challenges faced by vulnerable young people
* Flexible, empathetic, and patient demeanor
