Job Description:
Gülermak Renewables is a key player in the renewable energy sector, committed to advancing the transition to clean energy through innovative projects and sustainable solutions. With a strong track record in engineering and infrastructure, we are expanding our renewable energy portfolio in the UK and EU markets and seeking a PMO Director/Manager. The role is based in London and covers UK and overseas operations, serving multiple countries. You will focus on building a consistent approach and implementing project management methodologies, processes, and best practices for managing global projects.
What you'll be doing:
* Develop and implement PMO processes, frameworks, and governance structures to support renewable energy projects.
* Provide project oversight, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, cost control, and quality standards.
* Establish and maintain project reporting systems to track progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and senior management to drive project success and ensure timelines, budgets, and scope are in line with expectations.
* Ensure compliance with UK regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
* Develop and maintain risk management processes, including mitigation strategies.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, conducting project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned across multiple countries.
* Facilitate resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
* Coordinate project documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
* Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
* Develop and provide training for project managers and team members on best practices and tools.
* Introduce innovative tools and practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.
* Develop and enforce project management standards, tools, and templates.
* Oversee the overall project portfolio, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
What experience you'll bring:
* 10+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or related roles within the renewables, construction, or energy sector.
* Completion of several renewable energy construction projects, preferably multiple projects at the same time.
* Strong understanding of project governance, methodologies, and best practices.
* Preferably, experience in team management.
* Excellent analytical, technical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
* Knowledge of UK and local regulatory frameworks and renewable energy industry standards.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred qualifications:
* Degree or relevant experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification.
* Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects.
