We are seeking a passionate DT Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in Peterborough on a full-time, long-term basis until July. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team of staff and hardworking students in a thriving school environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
2. Create hands-on, practical learning experiences that inspire students.
3. Ensure a strong focus on health and safety procedures in all practical lessons.
4. Assess, mark, and provide feedback on student progress.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning and curriculum development.
6. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
7. QTS is NOT essential, but relevant teaching experience is required.
8. Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology, including practical elements.
9. Experience planning and marking students’ work.
10. Ability to engage and motivate students in a creative and dynamic learning environment.
11. Strong classroom management skills.
12. Commitment to student development and academic success.
